Ball Handling 0:05 - 0:10
- Squeezes - make the ball your friend
- Slap Ball
- Toss ball and catch it - squeeze tightly
- Around the Waist
- Around the Ankles
- In and Out
- Space Catch
Pivoting 0:10 - 0:18
- Teach Triple Threat Position
- Triple Threat, Jab and Attack, Fake Left, Shot Fake
- Step Forward and Back
- Left foot on ground
- Step with right foot
- Keep right hand behind the ball
- Hokey Pokey
Dribbling 0:18 - 0:38
- Sitting Down
- Cross legs, dribble on outside
- Start with left hand
- Standing in Circle
- Wave across at someone with inside hand
- Coaches go around inside of circle and shake hands
- 1-2-3 Stop
- Coach demonstrate the jump stop and why you need to use it.
- Line up on sides of court
- Dribble forward three dribbles, then come to a jump stop
- Coach counts out Triple Threat, Jab and Attack, 1-2-3-Stop.
- Bumper Ball
- Setup squares with cones
- Have 4-5 players in each group
- Dribble and try to knock other players' balls out
- Players knocked out sit and dribble on outside
Break 0:38 - 0:42
Passing 0:42 - 0:50
- Push Passing
- Use partners
- One hand - right foot slightly in front
- Teach catching - hands up, just like shooting
- Pivot and then Pass
Shooting 0:50 - 1:00
- Shoot at baskets
- Shoot in front, three foot shots
- Get in a line, shoot till you make one, then shoot till you miss
- Count how many baskets you make
